About Me
About Paula Allchorne Executive MBA, Psychosexual & Relationship Therapist (COSRT Reg).
With over 28 years of distinguished clinical experience in healthcare, my career has been dedicated to understanding the intricate complexities of the human body and wellbeing. I served as the President of the European Association of Urological Nursing (EAUN) until 2025, and have been honoured with 13 national awards - including Urology Nurse of the Year and the prestigious Gold Award for Outstanding Service to Nursing from the Chief Nursing Officer for England.
While my foundational expertise is rooted in specialist nursing and healthcare leadership (holding an Executive MBA), my practice has evolved. Today, as a qualified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, my focus is entirely psychological, emotional, and relational.
Please note: Sessions are strictly therapeutic, talk-based, and non-medical.
My extensive clinical background simply means I deeply understand the physical aspects of sexual health, allowing me to provide a uniquely holistic perspective. I work with both individuals and couples in a discreet, compassionate space, offering evidence-based psychological strategies to help you overcome intimacy barriers, rebuild confidence, and restore connection.

Men’s Sexual Wellbeing & Dysfunction
Sexual struggles can feel incredibly isolating for men, often taking a heavy toll on your confidence, mental wellbeing, and relationships. Whether you are experiencing erectile dysfunction, performance anxiety, low desire or changes in ejaculation, these issues are rarely just physical or purely psychological - they are almost always a mix of both.
Drawing on my extensive clinical urological background and advanced psychosexual training, I understand what is happening in your body while offering the practical, talk-based psychological tools needed to break the cycle of pressure. Together, we will work in a non-judgmental space to quiet the anxiety, rebuild your sexual confidence, and help you regain control.
Women’s Sexual Wellbeing & Pain
For many women, sexual difficulties - especially those involving pelvic pain, lack of desire, changes after medical treatment or menopause can feel deeply frustrating and dismissive. Conditions like vaginismus, dyspareunia, or a sudden loss of libido often create a painful cycle where the mere anticipation of intimacy triggers anxiety, causing the body to physically lock up. My practice combines a deep, clinical understanding of female pelvic anatomy and medical conditions with evidence-based psychosexual therapy.
We will work together in a safe, warm, and entirely confidential space to unpack both the physical and emotional layers of your experience. By removing the pressure of performance and addressing the fear of pain, I will help you rebuild your body confidence, rediscover pleasure, and feel empowered in your own skin.

Relationship & Intimacy Therapy
Over time, it is incredibly common for couples to find themselves stuck in a "roommate" dynamic, where communication fractures, desire becomes mismatched, or physical intimacy fades entirely. When trust has been broken, past problems surface or major life shifts like menopause or medical illness disrupt your bond, talking about intimacy can feel awkward, frustrating, difficult or unsafe.
My approach goes far beyond generic relationship counselling. I provide a secure, structured, and collaborative space where both partners can explore the emotional, relational, and physical barriers holding you back. By breaking down cycles of pressure and rejection, we will work to restore open communication, heal old wounds, and rebuild a deeply satisfying, pressure-free connection.
Klinefelter Syndrome &
Genetic Conditions
Receiving a diagnosis of Klinefelter Syndrome (47,XXY) or navigating a genetic condition can bring a complex wave of emotions, from a profound sense of loss and identity shifts to frustration over physical and hormonal changes. Whether you are struggling with low libido, erectile difficulties, body image concerns, or fertility challenges, these experiences deeply impact your sexual confidence and your relationships. Because of my extensive background in clinical urology, you do not have to spend your sessions explaining the medical nuances of your condition or your hormone replacement therapies to me, I already understand them.
In this safe, private space, we will work together to process the emotional impact of your diagnosis, quiet performance anxiety, and develop practical strategies to help you or you and your partner build a confident, fulfilling intimate life.
